Not to sound sappy, but it’s like that song…the one Dolly wrote and Whitney killed. I’ve said goodbye to a few people I really truly care for…not because anybody was wrong, but because it was clear I wasn’t what they needed and I would be in their way. Some folks have it set in their minds just how people and things should be. Doesn’t make them wrong, it just makes us incompatible. I don’t fit their mold…so please, don’t cry.
Ok that was sappy. Point is, people have very specific expectations…and that’s untenable for me. Seems people would rather have the idea of what you “are’ or “should be” rather than to have you or to do the work of relationship building. – Brego.
