I’ve been waiting for the day. On the advertising tip, Google is unnecessarily complicated. And my distrustful side believes this is intentional. In Cloud computing, overpriced and in publishing over selective and preferential. Back around 2010 they dumped web publishers at Web 2.0 in favor of app developers. Class action suit did nothing for those who were actually harmed, But they got their $3.00 checks for the trouble, meanwhile the lawyers who were not harmed were financially rewarded. Took years for publishers to recover. So if there is any justice, Web 3 should eat their alphabet soup alive. They monopolize search results and do not give all equal access…so this feels like karma to me. Read about it on The Economist. But it also seems that Google is tempting fate in the heartless way it’s letting workers go.
