I’ve been on a mission to shed some pounds since May 20th, 2024, and I’m pleased to report I’m down 8.6 pounds. Not bad, considering I still enjoy a good chip or two. My belt’s gone from “extra large” to “almost too loose,” which is a nice problem to have. I guess it’s time to downgrade my belt, is it?

I’ve been using AI to help me stay logical and focused. When my cat goes MIA, I don’t freak out – I use Bayesian logic to figure out the odds of a safe return. It’s all about making informed decisions and managing anxiety.

I’ve also been checking out pro athletes with similar stats to mine. Yeah, they’re mostly muscle, but it’s good to know what’s possible with some dedication and hard work. I’m not looking to become a pro, just not fall into the trap of believing “I’m awful”…no, I’m not. There are others out there like me, and how can I be better?

My current routine is all about balance – regular walks (forcing myself out some days…working on a project that really motivates me to get going), healthy eats, and plenty of water. As I settle into this new routine, I’m starting to notice the mental shifts that come with it.

For instance, lately, I’ve been working on my perspective. I’m not letting negativity get the best of me, and I’m not afraid to speak up when someone’s being messy or talking smack. Once you start being direct with people, you suddenly realize how many people prefer fuckery to honesty. They gonna fux around and find out, I’m not a tree – I can walk away from toxic situations and create my own change.

The bottom line is that the mind is everything. I’m in control of my thoughts, my perspective, and getting focused on my own development and wellness. I’m not perfect, but I’m making progress, and that’s all that matters. It’s time to take control of my life, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me. Mind over matter, indeed.
