A friend of mine once told me I should work in finding bugs in systems, he said it pays very well. This was only about six years ago. At the time I thought the prospect sounded exhausting. I also believed I didn’t have enough training and because I wasn’t a programmer, I wouldn’t be able to do the job. But now that I actually use Social Media for business, and I really need these features for operations…I’m finding bugs all the time. And usually when I spot a bug in a site, SaaS or software, for fun I will always ask the producer. “Do you pay a bounty for finding bugs in your software/site?” Most of the time they say “NO”. This is the wrong way to do business in my opinion.
