We definitely need one of these four our home. We do have a feral that escaped after quarantine…Blake. He’s been chipped and although he’s feral, he got along well with our other cats, especially David who is also feral. But Blake, like David never warmed up to humans. So he escaped. We fed him for weeks then suddenly he stopped coming for feedings, and a neighborhood raccoon came to eat his food instead. We tried setting up a safe trap, but it went off prematurely and scared him off. I tell all those details because feral cats really have a tough life out there, so I’m wondering if this door can be programmed without the actual pet chip available, if the number can be entered manually. Maybe one day Blake will return. We love the fact that this product is modular, has good battery life and works with most chips…and has an rfid tag.

Tried Beyond Chicken Nuggets in the air fryer tonight. I can honestly say they taste better (and are less…) than real chicken nuggets. They are filling (I ate five) as they have fiber. They have a good bite and chew, and they even have that “funkiness” of chicken. I know fat and sodium are still concerns so we can’t eat them all day, but they don’t have any aftertaste, not like Impossible Nuggets… The following info is for their tenders not their nuggets but I got it from the Beyond meat website. Overall, I like their meat alternatives, and it’s moving me toward a plant-based lifestyle. But we are still 100 years away from chicken wing, fish and steak substitutes. So I eat those with special intent, giving thanks to the Creator and the animals….and praying the meat company and government are doing the right thing by animals. Overall these win out because they have no cholesterol (though eating too much fat will increase yours so be careful) and they have fiber which keeps you full. So. Stevia and monk fruit are the best health thing going. I ordered like 400 packages and can’t tell between sugar and this replacement. No sugar highs and crashes and it helps with weight loss. $17.50 may sound like a lot for sugar, but it goes a long way. I make Cocao once or twice a day to help restore stem cells, and I have lemonade in the morning. And it’s great to have these drinks with no addition to my calories. I will also try miracle berries to quell my sweet tooth.

Update March 22, 2023: WARNING, Many Stevia and Monk fruit Sweeteners contain Erythritol which scientists now claim makes the blood “sticky” and increases risk of heart attack and stroke. Don’t quote me on that, but after figuring out that it is an ingredient in stevia and monk fruit sweetener and after determining even Fiber One bars contains erythritol, I tossed it all out. Back to sugar, in very limited quantitites.
