Yet, instead of standing up, too many are still acting like life’s just one big party—ignoring reality, rights, and all that “boring” stuff that actually matters.

I’ve been calling this out for decades. Thirty years of warning friends, family, professors—hell, even writing to Black media and celebs—only to be brushed off like I was the crazy one. Since 2018, I’ve been screaming it louder, watching it all play out exactly as I said it would. Even my professors looked at me like I was nuts. And now, here we are. Shocked? Really? I told y’all this was coming.

But it wasn’t just 45 or his cronies. Oh no, I saw it in every corner of society. No court, not even the Supreme Court, defended my father—a WWII war hero. Nobody. As he lay dying, bleeding out from neglect, a nurse had the audacity to question me at his deathbed because, in her twisted mind, we didn’t “match” enough for her liking. I saw this coming in crystal-clear 8K seven years ago. Lawyers with no ethics protected every move of those who failed him—even the one who was supposed to be on my side.

And the worst part? OUR apathy. Nobody gave a damn. It wasn’t their problem, it wasn’t their anointed one dying, and they had parties to go to. Meanwhile, I was the “drag” for daring to talk about reality, rights, and the law. I was ignored for dead—brushed off because my warnings poked at their precious egos.

So now, here we are. 45 broke laws, insulted you to your face, and openly plotted to dismantle democracy. And still, people act shocked. If the lies about a stolen election, the attacks on truth itself, and the threats to punish imagined enemies didn’t convince you, then what will?

This isn’t about “I told you so.” It’s about accountability. The truth was always in plain sight. We’ve let hatred weigh more than love, egos stand taller than action, and distractions blind us to what matters most. If this isn’t a divine lesson, I don’t know what is.

I pray we learn it fast, before it’s too late. The time to act is now. Take the blinders off. Stop clutching your pearls. Wake up, people. The party’s over.

The Complexities of Authenticity and Influence on Social Media

I have a complicated relationship with social media. On one hand, I deeply appreciate its power to connect people and spread ideas. On the other, I’m concerned by how it can distort genuine human relationships. When I was younger, I dreamed of being a comedian – not for fame or money, but because performers like Steve Martin, Richard Pryor, and Eddie Murphy inspired me.

Their comedy felt like a calling more than a career. Over time, I’ve realized some people view relationships very differently than I do. Stay silent, and you lose the chance to meaningfully connect. As my visibility grows, I’m reflecting on how to navigate these challenges. How can I stay true to myself while also expanding my positive impact? Are there principles that can guide what I share and with whom I engage? Curious to hear your thoughts and experiences grappling with these tensions. My hunch is that with care and courage, we can leverage social platforms to bring more light into the world – without losing ourselves in the process. But it’s a delicate balance I’m still figuring out.

Many self-proclaimed authority figures today do not demonstrate intellectual rigor or support their arguments with facts. Instead, they rely on memes and unsubstantiated claims to make their point.

In the past, before the internet and social media gave everyone an amplified voice, people tended to show more deference to experts who had genuine knowledge and qualifications on a topic. Their authority was earned through study and proficiency, not just fame, wealth or having a large online following.

While everyone has a right to their opinions, it is concerning when those without depth of understanding on complex issues present themselves as authorities and gain sway over public opinion. Their confidence can appear more convincing than painstaking research and nuanced analysis.

I believe we should expect rigor, critical thinking and factual support from anyone claiming authority, rather than allowing memes and unexamined opinions to stand unchallenged, regardless of the source. Intellectual humility and deference to real expertise could benefit public discourse.
